老套的“要对家庭、家人负责，对工作和朋友committed”的观念似乎正在被一群向往自由的人蚕食；他们渴望独independence，self-reliance，厌恶单调的相依为命，互相依赖的家庭生活。
然而人的本性中，对爱的追求是最最贪婪的。也就是那种最原始，最单调，最淳朴的情感，亲情，友情，爱情… 或许是社会早已将我们condition了罢，抛开所有commitment始终被视为道德上的一个污点。我们难以think out of the box，追求毫无牵挂的生活。
或许这并不是一件坏事。在Tuesdays With Morrie 一书中，主人公说道：“When we are born, we need other people to help us survive; when we are old and dying- as I am right now, we also need others. But the secret is, in the middle, we need others too…”
狐死首丘，落叶归根；人与人之间以情感，依赖编织成的关系网也正是为social stability奠定了基础。我认识一个外国朋友；他自我介绍说自己去过100+的国家，说自己并没有一个非常committed的friendship. 他的朋友们，they come they go. 对于很casual的friendships,不需要太多感情的付出，也并不求回报。很care-free的生活。如是的生活，也未尝不是一种享受；只是不知何时又会被厌倦，何时会被对情感的渴望而取代。
